Testimonials

There are not many places to ride in Orlando and following the closure of the Grand Cypress Equestrian Centre we have not yet found anywhere to recommend.

There is however a charitable organization called Freedom Ride

Freedom Ride, Inc. is a non-profit 501c3 volunteer based organization built on the conviction that we are not bound by our physical limitations.

Première Accredited Centre of
North American Riding for the Handicapped Association

With a team of loyal horses, NARHA Certified Instructors, Therapist and Trained Volunteers, Freedom Ride provides therapeutic horseback riding to children and adults with many types of disabilities....cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, multiple scleroisis, autism, developmental delay, attention deficit disorder, deafness, blindness and many emotional and learning disabilities.

Centrally located in the heart of Orlando, Freedom Ride reaches out to the more than 54,000 residents with disabilities in Central Florida and makes a dramatic impact on their lives and their families. Freedom Ride is Horsepower for the Spirit.

Directions to Freedom Ride:
From Interstate 4 exit 88 (Lee Road)
Take Lee Road west 1.5 miles. Continue through the intersection with Edgewater Drive and then take the first driveway on the right hand side next to the stone wall. Follow the road to the back of the property along the chain link fence to the white fence and entrance to the Freedom Ride property.

Please check in at the office upon arrival.
